How to play

Chess is a friendly battle between White and Black. The goal is to trap the other king — that's called checkmate!

• • Move pieces by clicking a piece, then clicking a glowing square. You can also drag and drop.
• • Choose a mode: play the AI Coach, learn together in Co-op, or play with a friend on the same screen.
• • Themes: try Candy Pastel, Space Quest, Animal Friends, or Classic Wood.
• • Adaptive Coach: the AI gently adjusts to how you're doing so it stays fun, not frustrating.
• • Coach Hint: tap 💡 anytime for a friendly suggestion on what to play next.

• • Goal: Capture more seeds than your opponent.
• • How to play: Pick up seeds from one pit and sow them counter-clockwise.
• • Continue sowing: When your hand empties, pick up the seeds from the next pit and keep sowing. If the next pit is empty, capture the seeds from the pit after it.
• • Round end: When either row runs out of seeds, the seeds remaining on each row go to its owner. Refill your row with as many full pits of five as your captured bank allows.
• • Match end: Play successive rounds until one player cannot refill even one pit. The player who can still refill wins. This version also uses the four-seed Pasu rule.
• • Strategy: Plan ahead to maximize captures and protect seeds for the next round.

• • Enter: Roll a 1 to bring your first coin into play; 1 or 6 can enter your other coins.
• • Move: Travel clockwise around the outer loop. After a cut, use the inner loops to reach the center.
• • Safe squares: Crossed homes and corners protect coins from being cut.
• • Win: Bring all four of your coins to the center. Rolls of 5 or 6 and cuts earn another roll.

• • Goats place one by one on the board, then move to corner the tigers.
• • Tigers jump over a goat to capture it — goats win by trapping all the tigers!
• • Teamwork wins: goats are strongest when they stick together.

• • Drop a disc: Click any column and your disc falls to the bottom.
• • Connect four: Four in a row wins — sideways, up-down, or diagonal!
• • Block smart: If your friend has three in a row, stop them fast!
